Designed and promoted by Turismo de Lisboa, this official city pass gives you unlimited access to public transportation, free admission to more than 50 top monuments and museums, and discounts at over 80 locations across the Lisbon region — including Sintra, Cascais, and Setúbal.
⁉️ What is the Lisboa Card?

Can I combine the Lisboa Card with other tickets or tours?
Yes. The Lisboa Card is compatible with other attraction tickets or guided tours you may want to book separately. In fact, some operators even offer additional discounts for Lisboa Card holders, especially for premium experiences like river cruises, tuk-tuk tours, and cultural shows.
Does the Lisboa Card grant skip-the-line access?
In most participating museums and monuments, Lisboa Card holders benefit from a separate entrance or priority access, helping you avoid long queues. However, during peak season or for very popular attractions (like Jerónimos Monastery), a short wait may still occur — especially on weekends and holidays.
What happens if I lose the card?
Unfortunately, according to the official terms, the Lisboa Card cannot be refunded or replaced if lost or stolen. It’s recommended to keep the card in a safe place and treat it like cash once activated.
Can I use the card multiple times at the same site?
No. Each included attraction can only be visited once per card duration, even if your Lisboa Card is still valid for transport or other visits. If you want to revisit the same museum, a separate ticket will be required.
Is the Lisboa Card available in digital format?
Currently, the Lisboa Card is issued as a physical card only, which must be picked up at official tourism counters in Lisbon. A digital version does not yet exist, though you’ll receive a downloadable guide and map to help plan your visit.
What languages is the guide available in?
The official Lisboa Card guide is available in multiple languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Staff at collection points are also multilingual and trained to assist international travelers.
Is public transport included in the Lisboa Card?
Yes. The Lisboa Card gives you unlimited access to the city’s full public transport network: Metro, buses, trams, funiculars, and elevators operated by Carris. It also includes trains operated by CP to Sintra, Cascais, Azambuja, and FERTAGUS trains to Setúbal.
Can I visit attractions on different days?
Yes — the Lisboa Card is valid for consecutive hours, not calendar days. If you activate a 48h card at 2:00 PM on a Tuesday, it will remain valid until 2:00 PM on Thursday.
Where can I pick up the card?
You can collect your Lisboa Card at official counters located at Lisbon Airport, Praça do Comércio, Restauradores, Santa Apolónia Station, and other central points. These are staffed with multilingual agents and provide printed materials.
Does the card include Sintra and Cascais?
Yes — train rides to both Sintra and Cascais are free with the Lisboa Card. However, you’ll still need to purchase entry tickets for attractions like Pena Palace or Quinta da Regaleira.
Is it suitable for families?
Absolutely. Children under 4 often enter free at monuments, and discounted Lisboa Cards are available for children aged 4–15. The included transportation and variety of attractions make it ideal for families looking to explore without hassle.
